Bride wedding speech – sigh! The day of your dreams is almost here and all the details are slowly but surely falling into place. You are stressed and a half by now, but you know it’s worth it. With all the running around and organizing and fitting and checking on . . . there is still that nagging little thought in the back of your head: the bride’s wedding speech. You got nothing so far. There is so much you’d like to say, so many ways to express your love for your future better half and so many people to thank. . . If only you could find a manner to put it all on paper in a concise, funny and great-sounding way. Sigh!
When your fiancée and you sat down one day and decided it would be great for both of you to give a speech, it sounded like a really good idea at the time. You’d both write up your part, you’d practice it a couple of times together and then you’d dazzle the audience with this amusing and entertaining speech. That was six weeks ago. You’ve seen your fiancée scribble something on a yellow pad the other day and he was all secretive about it and you were busy dealing with the choice of flower arrangements.
The wedding is pretty much upon you now and you’re dizzy thinking of everything – except the wedding speech. You can’t even think about where to start. You’ve taken a moment and checked everywhere you could think of for some bride wedding speech examples, but nothing you found sounded like you.
In the end you asked your mom for help, and even though she was really sweet about it and willing to help you, that didn’t really gel either. So when it comes down to it you’re right where you started: with nada. Nothing!. And to top it all off, by now you’re just days away from the wedding day. Girl, you need a plan! And you need it now.
Do you recall the list of things you wanted to express to your future husband in your brides wedding speech, how much you love him and all the ways you wanted to thank every one for their part in making this wonderful and long-awaited day become a reality?
Well don’t start with the speech itself. Give yourself a day to jot down on a yellow pad (or a napkin if necessary) every idea that crossed your mind that might fit into your speech. There doesn’t have to be any kind of order to it. For now it doesn’t even really have to make any sense. Just write it all down and also every person’s nameyou wish to mention (later on check with your mom and your mother-in-law if you got everybody, they’ll know).
At the end of this day steal a few moments away from everything, get your favorite kind of coffee (or whichever beverage you prefer . . .), some nice music and sit down with your sheet (or sheets) of notes. Having a look at my next post you’ll find a basic outline for a bride wedding speech; just a safety line to follow to get you securely from the beginning to the end without getting lost on the way or taking too many detours.
